fullest professional and personal goals. Position Summary The
Controller is responsible for the accuracy of all financials and
ensures deadlines are promptly met. This role is an internal,
non-client facing but client-servicing role, and works in a
collaborative partnership with the Business Management (BM) team
and other specialty departments to super-serve the Tri Star client.
This is an elevated position and requires exceptional
organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to complete
multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. The Controller
must be able to communicate effectively and understand the need to
work in an integrated manner within the department for the purpose
of meeting goals, objectives, and knowledge. Job Essentials,
Responsibilities, Duties Oversee the preparation of financial
reporting packages (annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly
deliverables) within required due dates. Oversee tax work paper
preparation; liaise with the tax team to provide necessary data for
the completion of all tax processes. Sign off on 1099 reports
before tax team reviews. Review a client’s financial statements and
supporting documents for accuracy and completeness. Reconcile
client’s annual payroll to GL and ensure that all payroll Federal
and state compliance is met. Review and maintain client’s accounts
payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
transactions, including any associated vendor or customer
contracts. Review insurance renewals, ensure coverage and explain
risk assessment. Review and approve monthly commission reports.
Review or complete ad hoc financial projects & reporting and work
with cross-functional teams as needed. Develop budgets and
forecasts, oversee monthly budget to actual reporting, and ensure
that these reports are sent regularly to clients. Develop and
maintain internal controls, manage audits, and ensure compliance
with tax regulations and GAAP for client accounts. Ensure accurate
and up-to-date information is maintained within operating systems
in an organized and retrievable manner. Establish financial and
operating metrics to measure performance. Offer improvements to
company standards, policies, and procedures to align with best
business practices. Stay up to date with training courses to
address gaps between current skill sets and required competencies.
Assist in training, developing, or educating accounting teams.
Establish strong working relationships with Tri Star Sports &
Entertainment team, leveraging internal and external resources
where appropriate to meet Client’s needs. Ensure diligent
implementation of Tri Star and client policies and procedures.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience using
QuickBooks and possesses highly proficient Excel skills Strong
written and verbal communication skills with the ability to
interact across the organization Extremely detail-oriented to
create accurate and timely reports Strong work ethic with a
positive attitude and a fit with the company’s culture and values
Understands the need to work in an integrated manner with other
members of the department in furtherance of goals, objectives, and
perception Able to share ideas, innovations, and best practices
that benefit others with the ability to work in an integrated

and externally, developing staff through coaching, mentoring, and
training Qualifications Ability to reliably commute and report to
the Tri Star office Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance,
Economics, or business related field 7 years of relevant
professional experience in business management, family office,
and/or high net worth client services industries Experience in a
variety of industries, including manufacturing and retail,
preferred Must have extensive hands-on experience applying US GAAP
in financial reporting, audits, and reconciliations CPA or similar
