ABOUT THE JOB: Digital Brand Architects (DBA) seeks an experienced executive to lead our Finance & Accounting team. Reporting directly to DBA's CEO, the Vice President of Finance will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures to facilitate DBA's continued growth in a GAAP-compliant environment. This role will regularly liaise with the Finance & Accounting team at United Talent Agency, DBA's parent company. Other key responsibilities include preparation of monthly financial statements, preparation of annual budgets, and development of analysis to facilitate management's ability to develop greater insights and provide quantitative support for strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, seasoned executive with a demonstrated track record of leading high-functioning financial teams, managing budgets, and improving overall company performance through efficient procedures and robust financial analysis. This position is based in West Hollywood, CA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
• Responsible for managing operational data and ensuring quality, timeliness, and integrity of financial data
• Manage the preparation of all management financial reports, including monthly consolidated financial statements and budget vs actuals
• Oversee and direct payroll procedures
• Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the month-end close process
• Maintain and enforce proper internal controls and segregation of duties throughout the organization
• Prepare quarterly and annual schedules for financial statement compilations and audits
• Manage the monthly preparation of detailed account reconciliations
• Manage and coordinate financial planning and budgeting
• Serve as a primary point of contact to external agencies, audit, tax, etc.
• Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
• Perform treasury functions including user maintenance, bank account set-up and releasing payments
• Approve employee expense reports
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff
• Design, communicate and train the finance and accounting team on policies and procedures
• Prepare and present ad hoc analysis as needed
• Additional responsibilities as required
  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of experience in a mid to senior level finance or accounting position
  • CPA required; big 4 public accounting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
  • Prior experience within the Entertainment industry highly preferred
  • Experience with ASC 606 preferred
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, forecasting, and budgeting including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Financial management experience with ability to establish policies and procedures to support the organization
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of financial data and prepare financial reports, statement and projections
  • Effective at presenting information and responding to questions from management
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using and managing budget/planning systems (NetSuite) preferred
