We are seeking a board-certified Family Practice Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Apr 13, 2026, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. The ideal candidate will work independently as the sole physician in the clinic, supervise advanced practice providers, and must be highly proficient with Epic EMR. Candidates should be prepared to adapt quickly to the clinic's systems and workflow, with minimal ramp-up time. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Apr 13, 2026 - LOA: 120 days - Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician - Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Responsibilities and Duties - Serve as the sole physician in the clinic, providing comprehensive care to patients - Supervise advanced practice providers (APPs) - Utilize Epic EMR efficiently for all clinical documentation and patient management - Deliver care in accordance with Family Practice and Internal Medicine board certification requirements - Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and standards - Respond promptly to clinical situations requiring advanced cardiac life support or pediatric advanced life support Additional Information - Must hold an active California medical license - Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Board certification required in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine - Proficiency with Epic EMR is essential; candidates must be computer savvy and able to adapt quickly Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
