Job Description Locums | Neonatology | Level IV NICU | Long Beach, CA Why This Role Support a leading Level IV NICU in Southern California providing high-acuity neonatal care. Collaborate with a skilled, multidisciplinary team dedicated to newborn critical care excellence. Flexible scheduling options with weekday and weekend 24-hour or split shifts. Assignment Details Coverage Type: In-House Shift Coverage Setting: Inpatient – Level IV NICU Dates: ASAP to Ongoing Location: Long Beach, CA Shift Options: - Weekdays: 8a–4p, 3p–9a, or 24-hour combined - Weekends: Fri 3p–Sat 9a | Sat 9a–Sun 9a | Sun 9a–Mon 9a Call: None Credentialing: Standard process with required prescreen questionnaire Clinical Details Provide comprehensive management of Level IV NICU patients, including ventilator and advanced neonatal critical care. Perform or oversee complex neonatal procedures in collaboration with nursing and respiratory staff. Manage admissions, discharges, and daily rounds for critically ill newborns. Participate in multidisciplinary care planning, ensuring continuity with perinatal and pediatric subspecialties. Requirements Board Certified in Neonatology Active California medical license Recent experience within the past 12 months Level IV NICU experience required Completed prescreen questionnaire (required for submission) Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
