Job Description:
A company is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Review
Specialist I.
Key Responsibilities
Reviews authorizations and requests for records to ensure
completeness and validity
Verifies that medical records correspond to the authorization and
are patient-specific
Follows Quality Assurance policies and proactively communicates
with management regarding clarifications and additional work
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in Health
Information preferred
RHIT or CHDA certification preferred, or the ability to obtain
certification
2 years of experience in a professional office or healthcare
setting, with knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to the release of
Protected Health Information preferred
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and learn new software
applications
