About Energy Systems
We help customers navigate the complex transition to a decarbonized
and more sustainable energy future. We do this by assuring that
energy systems work safely and effectively, using solutions that
are increasingly digital. We also help industries and governments
to navigate the many complex, interrelated transitions taking place
globally and regionally, in the energy industry.
About the role
Our world is changing its energy mix and the power system is
undergoing significant transformation to accommodate this change.
Increasing electricity load is creating the need for new advisors
to help developers, utilities and RTOs navigate the buildout of the
electric grid and manage the interconnection of new large load,
such as data centers. This changing landscape has presented new
challenges and risks. DNV is working with clients today to drive
their business toward future demands for clean, reliable and
affordable electricity. DNV believes the energy transition is alive
and accelerating toward new outcomes that will benefit the growing
demand for electricity to power AI models, manufacturing and our
homes. Our clients need advisors that are ready to bring new ideas
and approaches to help future proof their strategies. Would you
like to be part of it?
We are seeking an experienced Consulting Leader in DNV's Power
Systems Advisory (PSA) team. This person will lead a team of
consultants and engineers focused on helping DNV clients navigate
the challenges of building new grid infrastructure, including
Transmission planning and application support. In addition to the
grid infrastructure solutions, the Consulting Leader will work with
PSA team members to create additional services to support large
load planning, siting and interconnection. While these two service
areas will be a keen focus, other emerging challenges may warrant
the need for new solutions and additional team growth to support
our clients' needs.
This position will include responsibility for developing new
solutions to take to market that support an existing portfolio of
engineering services delivered by PSA. As a member of the
leadership team, the Consulting Leader will also be involved in
leading business development and client relationship
management.
Broad knowledge of the electric utilities industry with a focus on
transmission and distribution assets is preferred, including market
and technology trends and awareness of regulatory proceedings and
policies at both the state and national level. The Consulting
Leader will be responsible for leading advisory projects, technical
due diligence processes, contributing as a subject matter expert
and communicating with clients. The right person will leverage
their market knowledge and experience to create consulting
solutions valued by DNV clients, while leading and growing a
consulting team of market leading professionals.
This role is based at our DNV office in Houston (TX), Austin (TX),
Dallas (TX), Arlington (VA), Columbus (OH),Jacksonville (FL), Miami
(FL), San Diego (CA), Portland (OR), Nashville (TN) or Oakland
(CA), presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will
typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV
office or client location/site. Further details regarding
role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview
process.
The position may also be considered at other DNV offices within
US.
