As an Collections Specialist you will: Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding balances and initiate contact via phone and email. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to collect overdue payments, explain account status, and offer payment options. Maintain accurate logs of all communications and payment arrangements. Notify management of customers exhibiting financial risk indicators. Research, reconcile, and resolve open items and unapplied credits in a timely manner. Collaborate with the sales and internal teams to resolve order issues and discrepancies. Provide timely reports and summaries on collection activity and status of overdue balances. Stay compliant with commercial collection laws, GAAP, and SOX requirements. This is a full-time opportunity Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm open to overtime. The ideal candidate will have Mandatory Skills: A high school diploma or equivalent (post-high school education in Accounting or Finance preferred). 1?3 years of experience in collections or a related role, preferably in a high-volume commercial/wholesale environment. Knowledge of commercial collection laws and financial regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. ERP system experience preferred (NetSuite a plus).
